What’s It Like To Be A Celebrity?

John Cheese of Cracked.com just published a short note about what it’s like to be a celebrity that I found quite interesting.  As some of you already know I recently revealed that I count visiting the site as one of my guilty pleasures.  I will leave a complete review for some other time, but it seems I am not alone as the number of hits it receives on a daily basis is truly astounding.

In any event, a recent article by Mr. Cheese ended up sparking off quite the controversy in the greater Cracked.com universe.  Another internet feeding frenzy was underway with accusations and insults being hurled back and forth, unfortunately including some actual “death threats” against John Cheese.  As an aside, I need to apologize to Mr. Cheese, based on my karmic responsibility for the controversy in the first place.  If anyone else has ever caught the last two minutes of a ball game only to watch their team blow a large lead those people are sure to know what I mean, and so it goes for Cracked.com and me.

This brings us to the point of this article which is to suggest that the context of John Cheese’s posting is actually not as important as the sentiments he expressed.  I invite you to read what I have quoted below and follow the link to the rest of his comment.
