So…News with a twist…

Gangnam singer Psy apologises for anti-US protests   BBC reported Friday.

Psy is due to perform at the annual “Christmas in Washington” TV special.

US President Barack Obama and his family are expected to attend the concert.

Of course they are…and why not?  Does anyone think that a little anti-Americanism between friends is still a problem?  Let’s celebrate.

Or as conservatives have suggested, another episode of  “One and a half Men.” has been inserted into the fall line-up.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2012 European Union (EU)  as announced by the Nobel Organization.

The union and its forerunners have for over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.

Remember when the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded using somewhat comprehensible guidelines?  Here we have a political statement attempting to prop up a faltering dream given to virtually an entire continent for something it was only able to accomplish due to the fact American forces have been garrisoned around the continent for those same sixty odd years.

And from USA Today 2012/12/09 we find, as if there would be any doubt, that  Romney’s ‘47%’ chosen as year’s best quote  

Obviously the Republican candidate was wrong, it seems he aimed a bit low.  One could hardly come up with a better satirical point than by making it this year’s best quote…

And as for Egypt, and the rest of the Middle East, it’s a bit like reading a novel to which you already know the ending.  We’ve already hit the iceberg, the only question remaining is how long it will take us to sink…
