It’s the Flu Season!

January 9, 2013

Ever wonder how many blankets you need to kill the chills? Don’t ask me, I ran out long before I came even close. And by the way, please call 911, I need to swear out a warrant on whoever it was that beat the hell out of me and left me for dead. What kind of sick bastard leaves the job half-done anyway?

So, here’s a little heads up for those who have just begun the journey, you might want to consider the fact that mine started maybe two months ago. I’m not saying it was exactly the same thing, but I do know that one thing led to another. Feeling lethargic? Just don’t give a damn? Hmm. And the worst part is you can’t find the energy to find the energy.

I hate to pick a “worst symptom”, but one of them has to be the progressive narrowing of perception until nothing matters but one’s self. I wait until the last moment, deny that I’m ill, but when it all goes bad I really am doing you a favor by staying out of sight.

Where have you been? I’m dying in here.  I’m still wondering if it’s worth the effort to reach over and take that pill sitting inches away. Sometimes it just doesn’t seem worth the effort.  (Hint:  it is, it definitely is.)

Oh, another suggestion, try not to tick off everyone around you, you might end up needing them to hand you that pill only inches away.

Oh, and if you’re ever a bit off in your head and decide to try blogging using your “speech-recognition” program, don’t bother. Come to think of it, that might be a good thing.
Finally, and here’s where I question our medical system. why can’t you give me the kick-ass medication I told you I needed in the very beginning? I’m serious, and still waiting….

Pleasant dreams and good luck to the rest of you. Let’s hope it takes less time to recover.

Tired of keeping your inner whining in check? Make a comment and let it all out.

Wow, I really have been out of touch…..but not alone as it turns out…still not sure about the rebound…but I can see it might be even more serious than I thought….don’t take any chances.

I don’t know if this needs to be said, but I’m just commenting like any other stranger/blogger might, ya know! Pretty sure I *don’t* know specifically what you mean, though. Delete if seems necessary.

    No motives, just a fan.

    Hope you get well soon..

  2. Sounds like a case of conservative flu.

  3. Hi, I might have finally come up for air.
