The ‘general public’ is unintelligent. The difference is cult members are at least aware they are members of a cult. The fingers pointers are dumb enough to believe they are unaffected. Then there are the rest of us who are on the outside looking in at the zoo critters while the shrinks analyze us. ‘Perfectly sane’ my ass.

I can understand why you might feel that way. Actually my first response was very similar, but after thinking about it I’m willing to consider their point of view.
As you know, I think, I wrote an article on the cult like behavior of progressives so I really had to think about it. Intelligence is not necessarily a vaccine against going with the flow or accepting a false premise and than building the rest of one’s belief system on that false premise.
Frankly, it’s what makes some progressives so dangerous, the combination of intelligence and fanaticism in pursuit of an illusory goal.

Indeed, and memorized the ‘cult’ article for my use in current debates elsewhere. We seem to be fully evolved into cult membership in this country. Or in my case, since I’m not, I’m left out on the fringe.

Bottom line…”Brain wise” or basic personality, can’t remember which, liberals are the most feminine and………libertarians actually are colder and less emotional than conservatives which put them at the other extreme. Just thought you might be interested.
